Satellite Or Cable - Still Confused?

Curiously enough, a lot of people mull over the age-old quandary of "satellite TV or cable" without ever reaching a clear conclusion as to which offers a better service and is the best option all around. Take my advice as someone who has experienced both services in my own home and stick to the clearer, more dependable service: satellite.

There are many points of comparison to be made, so let's go over a few of them in order to understand exactly why a satellite connection will bring more and better entertainment into your home than cable. Each of these criteria constitutes a basic element of viewer satisfaction, and therefore need to be taken into account whenever comparing the two systems:

· Options. Cable will give you a couple of hundred channels, but you're likely to get channels reflecting a narrow spectrum of tastes, limited by regional loyalties (which means that if you're from out of town, tough luck!). Satellite, on the other hand, will bring you the most possible options, reflecting a broad array of regional, national, and international tastes. Whether you like movie channels, educational channels, or whatever else, satellite brings you more of it.

· HD programming. Forget about poor images with a satellite connection. You'll have truly privileged access to the most high definition channels available to TV-viewers temporarily, over 130 to be specific! Cable trails pretty far behind in this category, generally settling between 30 and 60 high def channels.

· Sports. The sporting nut will be more satisfied with a satellite connection than cable: satellite packages are the most incredible that can be found on the market. There's no sport left out here, and no nagging regional limitations on which games you can watch (like happens with cable!); all the major leagues here in the US as well as abroad, along with a phenomenal mix of amateur and semi-pro leagues from down the road and other continents, too.

· Customer satisfaction. There is no better way of judging the victor in this competition than merely listening to the voices of the subscribers, and year after year satellite comes out on top of cable as the leader in customer satisfaction. It's a holding trend, and it's based on basic considerations like the continuity and quality of the service, the attention and friendliness afforded customers over the phone, and the efficiency and speed with which problems are resolved. In each of these satellite has proven to be the better of the two, and has managed to retain its crown with elegance and grace...don't expect this to change any time soon!

Don't just take my word for it, though: subscribe for a satellite connection today and find out what you've been missing out on. It's common to find offers to change over to satellite free of charge, so you don't have to worry about that part (cable companies also offer free switch-overs, but it doesn't seem like many satellite subscribers are biting!). In no time you'll be fully brought up to speed on exactly what watching the tube ought to feel like: amazing!
